The objective of the WinDust project is to improve the understanding and strengthen local capacity on the causes, territorial factors and effects of dust sandstorms and to develop and test techniques aimed at the prevention, control and mitigation of their impacts, both in the generation area (Alashan desert) and in the target Beijing region.
