In its present configuration, the Genoa Metro Railway is a single underground line that develops along a route of 6 km. and includes 7 stations. The Principe-Darsena-San Giorgio section with its station has been completed in 2003, while in March 2006 the San Giorgio-Piazza De Ferrari section has been activated. The Piazza De Ferrari-Brignole Station section has begun in 2005 and is in course of realization.
